Joint Universal

Additive mortar of mixed binders and fine texture for sealing joints from 0 to 15 mm. in all types of coating, whether ceramic or low porosity pieces -porcelain stoneware-. ADIMAR JUNTA UNIVERSAL supplied by AYMAR is a cementitious grouting material in accordance with the UNE-EN 13888 standard, designed and manufactured with marble, cement and special additives that give it properties that place the product in the topology of improved grouting material with high resistance to abrasion and reduced water absorption. Sealing of joints between tiles of pavements and coverings in interiors and exteriors. Filling of joints between tiles, mosaics, vitreous mosaic, ceramic, stoneware, extruded,... Filling of joints between bricks, natural stones, marbles, hydraulic tiles, terracotta. Suitable for radiant heating. Suitable for grouting swimming pools.


The joints must be dry and clean in all their length and depth. The grouting must be done at least 24 h. after gluing in vertical parameters and 48 h. after gluing in pavements. Before starting the application, the ceramic should be protected with a primer to prevent possible stains caused by the pigments and to facilitate subsequent cleaning.

  • Add 1.5 l. approx. of water for each 5 kg. bag of Adimar Junta and mix manually or mechanically at low revolutions at 500 rpm. until a homogeneous and consistent paste is obtained.
  • Let the paste rest for 5 minutes and mix again.
  • Proceed to fill the joints with a rubber trowel or rechargeable gun, compacting the material firmly.
  • The application should be made diagonally to the joints, pressing the paste on the joints and removing the excess material.
  • Allow the material to dry slightly for approximately 30 minutes, when the paste loses its superficial shine, it can be cleaned with a slightly damp sponge.
  • Only when the product has hardened in the joint, it is possible to proceed to the polishing action with a clean and dry cloth to remove the remains of dust.
  • Allow to dry at least 24 hours before pedestrian traffic.
  • Do not apply at temperatures below 5ºC or above 35ºC.
  • Do not apply with risk of frost, rain, strong winds or direct sun.
  • Do not apply in expansion joints or joints subject to structural movements.
  • In rehabilitation, empty completely the joint before the new application.
  • Fill the joints when the coating or pavement is completely dry in swimming pools, wait at least 8 days after grouting for the first filling of the joint.
