Practical visit by Geology students from the Autonomous University of Barcelona

As we do every year, on 14/11/25 we welcomed geology students from the Autonomous University of Barcelona to the Xauxa mine to study the outcrops where calcosilicates and sulphides appear in contact with marble, as part of their fieldwork to recognise minerals and structures.

During the practical session, our Technical Director, Luis Jesús García-Muñoz Miras, explained the impact of these outcrops on the mine and the fundamental role of mining geologists in exploration, research and mining operations.

It is always a pleasure, a privilege and a source of pride to collaborate in the training of future professionals in the mining sector.
