Visit by the Technical Committee of the Gremi d’Àrids de Catalunya to the Xauxa Mine

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming the Technical Committee of the Gremi d’Àrids de Catalunya to the Xauxa mine (Aymar SAU) for a working session focused on knowledge sharing and on-site analysis of best practices in the sector.

• During the visit, Committee members were able to see firsthand the underground mining model at the Xauxa mine, as well as the main advances in the following areas:
• Occupational safety and health, a top priority in all our operations.
• Mining sustainability, with an integrated approach to the environment and aligned with current industry standards.
• Innovation and continuous improvement, applied to both production processes and operational management.
• Environmental monitoring and air quality—key aspects of modern underground mining.

The event provided a forum for technical dialogue to share experiences, analyze common challenges, and reflect on the future of the aggregates industry in Catalonia, a strategic sector for economic and social development.
